Tourism Map

In 2019, I was commissioned by the Highlands Chamber of Commerce to create a map featuring original artwork as part of their continued effort to increase tourism in and around the Town of Highlands, NY. While West Point is a major draw for visitors, the chamber of commerce wanted to entice tourists to the various shops and eateries right outside the gates of the world renown military academy.

As requested, I illustrated the major points of interest in three maps, focusing on the major thoroughfares of Highland Falls and Fort Montgomery, as well as some of the attractions at Bear Mountain State Park. Fold-out maps were then printed and made available at several venues, and a larger map was created for a kiosk at the West Point Visitors Center, Town Hall and even Woodbury Commons Premium Outlet (a popular tourist destination in the area).
