In 2023, I had the privilege of assisting my good friend, leather worker Eric Noll, with his senior thesis project at NYC’s Fashion Institute of Technology. For his fashion line, titled “Elemental”, Eric chose to design and create pieces based on the four classical elements of Fire, Water, Air and Earth. I was tasked with designing the artwork for each piece which he then hand tooled into leather.

The pieces were as follows:
• EARTH - a bag featuring a leaf motif on its front flap
• AIR - a belt panel featuring a winged “messenger” recalling the Greek god Hermes
• FIRE - a corset panel bearing a stylized phoenix bird
• WATER - shoe straps with a fish scale motif

I also created the look book for the project, which included some collaborations he’d done with another FIT student, Der Dau and Thale Blanc. Check out his Instagram account to see more of his work.
